Monitoring System Installation

After our monitoring systems are approved by the regulators, AEM uses a subcontract drilling firm to install the monitoring wells. AEM personnel supervise the drilling firm and document the process to ensure that the monitoring systems are installed in accordance with the design documents. All monitoring system installations are certified by the Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist. We also provide installation services for systems designed by others.

As part of an installation project, AEM personnel develop groundwater monitoring wells to ensure that these monitoring points provide the most representative data possible. Proper development of a groundwater monitoring well is time-comsuming (often requiring six hours or more per well) but can greatly reduce the number of false-positives detected at our clients´ facilities. Getting it right the first time prevents wasted time and money down the road.
